Legacy

In a world filled of amused melodies,
we’re often distracted by cacophony,
In a life engulfed in laughter,
many a brave have had shed a tear.

In reasons we believe,
yet words betray the truth,
In love we trust but,
the hate eats in you a bit.
In all wonders of coincidences,
at times we find ourselves offbeat.
In the youth of surprised enthusiasm,
memories and flesh wear out in time.
In dreams a future we revere,
but the past unsettles in you a bit.

Through a life of assured opportunities,
there are questions if we’re truly free.
For if the heavens quake to thunder,
tis only to soften the land under.
Then we must avenge all compromise and dogma,
and thus in our legacy we shall be free.
